Case Studies : Sustainability
SDG Guide for Local Government
Working closely with the NSW Government’s Sustainability Advantage team, we developed a “How To” guide for local government to facilitate the integration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into local government strategic planning processes.
For information about the guide contact the SA Team.
Home in Place
We started working with Home in Place (formerly Compass Housing) in 2010 to help them define sustainability for the organisation and engage staff around key environmental sustainability actions. The introduction of the Sustainable Development Goals in 2015 provided the ideal platform to promote and integrate sustainability into policies, strategies and operations.
We worked with Home In Place to identify priority SDGs and map them to the organisation’s mission and principles.
NSW Sustainability Advantage Program
For the past 18 years we have been a preferred provider to the NSW Government’s Sustainability Advantage Program.
This award winning initiative is widely recognised as the leading Government program supporting sustainable business in Australia.
We have developed and delivered multiple program modules to NSW businesses across many industry sectors, including manufacturing, mining, food and beverage, aged care, education, transport services, government, waste management, construction and agriculture.
Shoalhaven City Council
We conducted a high-level strategic review of SCC’s sustainability commitments and programs. This included a review of the website to identify public commitments; ground truthing of existing programs for currency and relevance; staff interviews and preparation of a Strategic Review Report.
The review resulted in 20 recommendations, with a focus on better defining sustainability and aligning the council’s goals with global sustainable development priorities.
