Modern Slavery tools: the what and why

We’re super proud of the tools and resources we’ve developed to help our clients assess and address their modern slavery risks.

Here’s just three of our favourites:

Bridge the Gap (BtG): Modern Slavery Gap Analysis

What it does: Enables organisations to assess their modern slavery governance maturity across key business areas including human resources & training, procurement & supply chain, risk & governance, and stakeholder engagement & communication.

Why we love BtG: The process not only helps to engage a diverse cross-section of an organisation on modern slavery risk management, it also informs the development of tailored modern slavery action plans and when used annually, provides a solid platform for reporting effectiveness as required under mandatory criterion 5 of the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth).

Know Slavery eLearning

What it does: Our suite of 12 ‘Know Slavery’ eLearning modules provide up-to-date, comprehensive and relevant information on modern slavery tailored to business needs. We also have a range of other modules including an introduction to ESG, Climate Change and Net Zero, and an overview of the Sustainable Development Goals (and how to set local targets for helping to achieve the goals) .

Why we love eLearning:  These bite-sized, highly engaging 10-minute modules can be completed anywhere and include professional voice over, videos, images and graphics, interactive quizzes and knowledge checks that keep learners interested and challenged. Each module includes a resources section for users to explore information and issues further. Our highly flexible modules can be provided as SCORM files for integration with an in-house learning platform or completed on our publicly accessible Learning Management System.

Supplier Prioritisation and Risk Dashboard

What it does: Our supplier prioritisation process takes the guess work out of assessing and addressing supply chain risk. Using our extensive and proven category risk taxonomy and country risk matrix, we prioritise your Tier 1 suppliers against four key variables: geography, industry sector, commodity and workforce profile.

Why we love it: The process enables us to engage and work closely with procurement teams to understand and review 12 months of spend data to provide a highly visual risk (or potential risk) dashboard which includes risk by spend, risk by supplier number and risk by category. Where the dashboard is used to inform supplier due diligence, engagement and deep dive assessments, a more comprehensive understanding of actual risk is obtained. We support companies to document Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) allowing risk mitigation opportunities to be implemented.
